서핑의 성지 양양 죽도로 1박 2일 여행 왔습니다. 양양 죽도는 젊은 사람들로 언제나 활기 넘치는 곳 입니다. 뭐 저는 서핑 하러 온 건 아니고 그냥 바다 구경왔습니다. 바다의 정기와 젊은이의 에너지 받고 가려는 것이 목적이라고 할까나요. (크흠.. 왠지 으르신 같네..)
숙소에 짐 풀다 – 오션 스테이 양양
숙소는 죽도 해양 종합 레포츠 센터 앞에 있는 오션 스테이 양양 을 잡았습니다.
여행 지역 숙소를 따로 알아본 거는 아니고 그냥 이쪽 동네에 지인이 있어서 깨끗하고 저렴한 객실을 추천 받았습니다.

오션 스테이 양양 지하 주차장 입니다. 평일이라서 그런지 차가 별로 없네요.
참고로 지하 주차장이 3층까지 있긴 한데 주차면이 그리 많지 않습니다. 성수기 때는 지하 주차장 주차 하기 쉽지 않아 보입니다.
대신에 호텔 바로 앞에 노외 주차장이 있어서 건물 안 주차 부족 문제는 어느 정도 해결할 수 있을 듯 합니다.
참고로 오션 스테이 양양 에서 제공하는 주차 타워도 있습니다만 정말 아쉬운 상황이 아니면 추천하고 싶지는 않습니다. 성수기 때는 숙소 체크아웃 시간에 출차 하려는 사람들이 몰릴 테니 말이에요.
숙소 1층 로비에 들어가면 E7호텔 프론트 데스크가 있습니다.
“E7호텔? 오션 스테이 양양? 뭐가 맞는거지?”
같은 건물 두 개의 이름이 있어서 처음 왔을 때는 이해가 어려웠습니다. 물어보니 건물이 오션 스테이 양양 이고, 여기 개인이 가지고 있는 객실을 위탁 운영 받은 업체가 E7호텔 이라고 하네요.
즉 이 건물은 에어 비앤비 (AirBnB) 를 통해 직접 객실 예약을 해도 되고 E7을 통해 예약해도 됩니다. 다만 에어 비앤비 (AirBnB) 로 하는 것이 좀 더 저렴하다고 합니다.
호텔 안내 표지판에 객실이 20층까지 있고 루프탑도 있다고 되어 있네요. 루프탑 올라가 봤는데 별롭니다. 그냥 바다 구경 나가세요.
숙소에 들어왔습니다. 첫 느낌이 뭐랄까요. 산듯한 모던스타일 이랄까요. 근래에 준공한 최신식 오피스텔 같은 느낌이었습니다.
풀 옵션 오피스텔인양 인덕션, 전자레인지, 건조겸용 세탁기, 건조대, 냉장고, 냉동고, TV, 에어컨, 인터넷 모든 옵션이 다 있습니다.
단기 여행 말고도 “양양 한달 살기”, “워케이션”, “서핑투숙” 과 같은 장기 투숙도 괜찮을 것 같다는 생각이 듭니다.
모던한 느낌, 제 취향입니다.
창밖으로 죽도 해변이 보였습니다. 이제 보니 창이 동남향 방향으로 나져 있군요.
개인적으로 저는 마냥 “바다만 보이는 뷰”보다는 이런 “바다와 해변이 함께 보이는 뷰“를 더 선호합니다.
다만 옆에 새로운 리조트가 공사 중이라 낮에 창을 열어두면 소음이 좀 있고, 삭막한 시멘트 느낌이 좀 있습니다.
건물 층은 다 올라간거 같고 2024년 여름에 준공 한다고 하니 삭막한 느낌은 조만간 없어질 듯 합니다.
양양 죽도 여행 바다 나들이 / 모래 놀이
짐 풀고 바로 해변 나들이 나왔습니다. 오른쪽 숙소 건물 바로 앞이 해변입니다.
아직은 3월 초 평일 이라서 그런 걸까요? 한적하네요. 참으로 여유롭습니다.

저는 혼잡한 것 보다 여유로운 여행지를 선호합니다. 그런 점으로 봤을 때 비수기 평일에 온건 정말 잘한 것 같습니다.
파도가 높지 않은 날임에도 많은 사람들이 서핑 하러 나왔습니다. 그나마 다행인게 어제는 장판이었는데 오늘은 파도가 약간이라도 있네요. (장판 : 파도가 아예 없는 날)
숙소와 해변 사이에 꽤 큰 규모로 데크 산책로가 있었습니다.
아침에 모닝 커피 하고 산책하기 좋아 보입니다. 여행 지에서 이런 산책로가 있다면 다음날 아침 꼭 산책을 하겠다 다짐하지만 지금껏 아침 잠을 이긴 적은 단 한번도 없었습니다.
건물 출입구를 바라보는 방향에서 건물 좌측면에 객실 투숙객이 이용할 수 있는 에어건이 있습니다.
만약 서핑 이용자 라면 숙소 앞에서 코인형 샤워 시설이 있는데 거기에서 간단하게 모래와 짠물을 씻어내고 이 곳에서 잔모래와 물기를 털어내면 참 좋아 보입니다.
저는 에어건이 있는지도 모르고 모래 놀이 하고 그냥 방으로 올라갔습니다. 숙소가 온통 모래밭이 된 건 안 비밀입니다.
산책 후 휴식 – 휴식도 “여행”의 일부다
양양 바다 모래놀이 + 산책을 다녀와서 씻고 좀 쉬었습니다.
숙소 화장실은 큰 특이점은 없었습니다. 그냥 신축 건물에 걸맞은 깨끗함. 욕조 대신 샤워 부스가 있습니다.
편의 사항으로는 드라이기, 샴푸, 린스, 바디워시, 수건3 이 기본으로 제공되었습니다. 일회용 칫솔과 치약은 없네요.
만약 칫솔과 치약을 가져오지 않았다면 1층 로비에 있는 일회용품 무인 자판기를 이용하시면 됩니다. 뭐 사실 여행 갈때 가벼운 마음으로 대충 와서 현지 조달하는 것도 나쁘지는 않은 듯 합니다.
요즘은 숙소의 기본 소양이라고 하는 무료 와이파이.
몸이 으르신이 되서 그런걸까요.. 씻고나서 침대에 누워서 핸드폰 유튜브 하는게 제일 좋네요.
죽도 해변 야간 산책
유튜브 보다 보니 잠에 들고 말았습니다. 한숨 자고 일어났더니 벌써 저녁이네요.
창밖의 햇님은 벌써 어디론가 사라져 버렸고 죽도의 야경만이 홀로 남았습니다. 설마 지금 시간까지 서핑하고 있는 사람은 없겠죠?
배도 고프고 야경도 이쁘니 저녁 식사는 밖에서 하기로 결정하였습니다.
숙소 1층에 레스토랑이 있다고 해서 1층 레스토랑을 이용하고 싶었었는데 한참 인테리어 공사중이었습니다. 가는 날이 장날이라고 하더니.. 다음에 다시 오면 그때 이용해야겠습니다.
그래서 레스토랑 대신 노상 입니다. 여행 지 야경을 즐기면서 맥주 노상 까주는게 현대인의 기본 소양이죠.
숙소 1층에 편의점이 있는데 맥주 와 안주를 들고 근처 정자로 갑니다. ㅎㅎ
다음 날 아침입니다.
역시나 아침 산책은 늦잠으로 실패하고 그냥 밖 풍경을 보면서 모닝커피 하는 것으로 대신합니다. 아침 산책을 즐기려면 몸이 좀 더 으르신이 되야 하나 봅니다.
